Tonsui Dipping Bowl - Kohiki Vortex

A tonsui dipping bowl is a traditional Japanese bowl featuring a wide shallow shape with the addition of a small handle on the side. Kohiki is a traditional Japanese pottery technique characterized by a white slip glaze applied over a darker clay body. This technique results in a smooth, milky-white surface with subtle variations in texture and colour. The vortex refers to the beautiful swirling grey pattern inside the bowl.
